Every diffusion claim in this wave assumes a transport time; the dirham road from Samanid Central Asia to the Baltic, c. 800-1015, is the one corridor where the lag is directly measurable, because the cargo carries its own dates. If the Volga road ran fast and continuously, hoard age-structures in Sweden and Gotland will sit tight behind the mint dates - deposition typically within a generation of striking - until the Samanid silver decline of the 970s stretches the gap as old coin circulates unreplenished, with inflow terminating around 1015. The corridor's clock calibrates the century-scale lags the textual items of this wave must respect: silver moved in decades; texts, at best, in generations.

This is the wave's self-declared calibration item, and its content is measured ground: Noonan's corpus of dirham-hoard studies computed precisely these age-structures, and the short striking-to-deposition lags of the ninth and tenth centuries, the aging of the circulating stock after the Samanid output decline of the 970s, and the cessation of inflow around 1015 are all published findings derived from the same corpora the kill pins (the CNS fascicles and Noonan's own inventories), synthesized since in the Kovalev line of work. The 70-percent/30-year and doubled-gap thresholds re-parameterize measurements already in print rather than pose a new question. As internal calibration for the wave's transport-time assumptions this is honest and useful, but under this lane's rubric the primary claim and prediction are already tested in located print. Leaked, by design rather than by oversight.
